All that analysis and very little design OR all that meat and no potatoes
All that analysis and very little design OR all that meat and no potatoes
Just because you are making the right noises doesn't mean you are taking the right actions. In fact finding the right balance between talk and action is a fine art, as worthy a pursuit as art music poetry or philosophy. It is this delicate balance hidden in the grey areas that will determine the success or failure of your graphic design or web development project.
The challenge is setting ground rules to having some measure of success. Tangible variables such as time and budget are easy to monitor, however, aesthetics are up to the individual. Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and that's fact. We are a rich tapestry of art, ideas, designs and opinions and the world would be a very different place if it was anything else.
So as a designer the big question is how do we get it right? The traditional says that if your client is happy then the job is done. But this is no longer the case. Now a days people are involved in user centric development. Not your client - it's your client's client. Now if the end customer is getting what they want then this will positively effect the bottom line of your direct graphic design client - and that's what it's all about - making more money.
